Burnley FC 2009/2010 Home Shirt

New Burnley Home Kit - 2009/2010 SeasonBurnley have gone with a retro football shirt look to their new shirt for the 2009/2010 season, which is also their first in the Premier League too.

The new Burnley kit is to commemorate the clubs’s success 50 years ago, when they were winners of the Championship.  In a bold move from shirt make, Errea, they’ve also left of the shirt maker logo to make the shirt more authentic.

burnley-home_crestOn the back of the new Burnley shirt, there’s alao a commemorative ‘Dare to Dream’ badge also celebrating the success 50 years ago.

From the Burnley FC website, they said ““The jersey is finished with claret and blue trim on the neck and sleeves and accompanied by plain white shorts and claret and blue hooped stockings identical to those worn by Jimmy Adamson’s men when they won the First Division title.””

Cooke Fuels are this season’s Burnley sponsors, following a few years with Holland Pies, and I’m sure they’re pleased as punch to see them in the Premier League this season!

The Burnley shirt is claret and blue, with long white shorts and claret and blue hooped socks.

The new Burnley kit is available from the Burnley FC Clubshop and a number of retailers in the north west…..except Blackburn!

STOCK UPDATE: The new Burnley FC Home Shirt have all sold out and the club shop at Turf Moor have advised that it could be another week due to shortages.   If you’re after a Burnley retro shirt, take a look at the one Toffs have in the meantime which is similar to the current 2009/2010 shirt.
